Went out for a couple hours after work and found one. Damn tree rats chewed the pedicle off.

Ric, I thought of you when I saw this old stand and thought you'd appreciate it.

I walked for 3 hours straight last night and found zilch...and I was in an area where I know there were several bucks. I know a lot of the deer spent a large amount of their time digging in the cornstubble fields for food this year because of the deep snow...I am betting most sheds are in stubble fields...and that is next to impossible to find them.

That's is where they are Chad! Fill up the tank of your quad and load up the kids for some easy and fun shed huntin'! That's what I'd do....

Cool pic Chad! I'm finding more and more treestands these days. I mean they're in every woodlot I walk thru or around no matter how small the lot is. This might be associated to our low deer numbers. There is literally no place for deer to seek refuge within the 3-5 mile circle of my residence except for just a few places.
I'm also seeing more and more quad tracks cutting through fields and along every edge I walk proving others are out looking. Since the past week I've seen 5 other people looking in the same areas I look in. This is the first year this has happened meaning they prolly just took up shed hunting this year. With the deer numbers being very low in my area they picked a bad year to start! Lol I hope they're having better luck than I'm having! Hahaha

I walked another solid 3 hours today and really covered some ground and found zilch. I've seen more left out ground blinds this year than ever! Seems they put them up then say Fugg it and let ole Mother Nature have her way with them. Today I found 3 nice ladder stands that had fallen over and two sets of extention pruners laying under the tree the stands were in! WTF!!! Are people too fuggin lazy to carry their shit back out! If I were the LO there is no way I'd let my property be littered up with fallen stands and ground blinds splayed all over the place! I'd have no problem if stands are up and secure but laying across ravines, quad paths with straps and ropes tangled in tree limbs and bottles of deer urine on the ground and cotton wicks still tied on tree limbs around these eye sores is ridiculous!
I guess what chaps my ass is, it's people like these that piss farmers and other LO's off enough to turn me down when I ask for permission to hunt their land....rant over. :smiley_bril:

I have been guilty of not getting ground blinds out before. Snow/ice comes and you have no choice but to wait for the thaw to get them out. Ladder stands fallen over? Deer urine bottles left? No way. That is just lazy slobs.

Yep, sorry sons-a-bitches don't deserve to have permission. Did you let the LO know?
