2016 Summer Gathering - Mingo Sportsman Club - July 22-24

I believe we ordered pizza for the Thursday evening group.
That the plan for this year too?

I plan on going to the trap range this year. Missed it last time and it sounded like I missed some fun times...
I'm thinking I will bring the flint lock. If you've never had the chance to shoot old school black powder, here it is.
AR and handgun(s),why not!

We can do pizza again. The hometown fave, Giannamores, is what we got last year.

I havent tried it out yet. I remember you and jesse asked me n bil if we wanted any, but we had already ate at wendys before we got there. We didnt know if anybody ate or not.

If you guys are wanting to run the lights in the pavilion, can someone please bring a genny? I am not locked in for this weekend quite yet, and if I bring the camper I will be parking further down the line instead of right in the middle like last year. I need to run the genny at least some to keep the camper batteries charged and I do not want to impact the mood/tone around the fire ring if it is after dark.

Just a few things for the general checklist that we will need:

1. firewood
2. quietest generator possible for the pavilion
3. pop up tents for some shade
4. gallons of water for cleaning cooking stuff and such...
5. garbage bags
6. paper products

Just thinking, that's all...

For anyone arriving Thursday, we will just do the local pizza to save on cooking that first night if everyone wants to do that. Last year we ordered in the early evening.
If the masses wanna just cook on the fire, that is fine too. Whatever works.

How big a generator is needed? I have a couple smaller ones I picked up at auction I would like to try out but they are only 3500w. The one is pretty quiet.

I will likely not be there until Friday evening.

Thats plenty for just the few lights, but 1-2 crock pots will strain. I bet a 1000w would run all the lights. Just need a 4 prong input plug or an adaptor to plug into the 110 outlets on the genny.

Just scheduled vacation for Thursday, so I can get up and get out early. Can't wait.

It's not ideal, but I do have a 500 gallon water tank I could bring up on the trailer. We could fill it up for the weekend and park it on the hill above the Pavillion and let it gravity feed down with a hose. Up to you guys. Just need to have a place to fill it up (Mike) once we get there.
