I tell you another one to look out for this year is unranked Ole Miss. Unfortunately they are under a self imposed bowl ban for some NCAA violations and the head coach was fired so they have an interim. Who says the SEC doesn't get their fair share of NCAA violations. That didn't seem to stop their drive however; I pulled up their south alabama game last night to see what kind of opponent they will be for Bama in a couple weeks. And I will tell you right now if they play like that then Bama is in trouble.
It was some damn quality football on the offense, and their QB and receivers were on fire. They struggled a little on defense at times but its nothing they cant clean up. On one play the quarterback rolled right under pressure and threw a 15 yd sidearm pass like a laser beam into double coverage and hit his man in the chest for a TD. I don't give a shit how good your defense is you can't stop shit like that. Now granted southern Alabama leaves a lot to be desired as an opponent but Ole miss wasn't pulling out the kid gloves. Almost reminded me of an NFL offense with their play speed and accuracy.

Ole Miss aint seen shit yet for sanctions. Thay are gonna get hammered quite hard. This aint like when Auburn gave Cam Newtons dad a couple hundred grand and they ncaa let them go cuz "Cam didn't know about it".

Agreed. You have the university pointing the finger at a recruiting director and an old head coach, then an even older coach pointing the finger at the university for something totally different, then the other old coach getting busted for calling an escourt service. Thats a whole lot of people all on different sides of the table which makes shit impossible to cover up.
I like the prime time games early on. Once bow season starts, I like the Noon games so I can get morning and evening hunts in without missing a play
We are playing a top ten ranked team this week. Bama is playing Frisbee State? Where's the mouth from the south talking about the Buckeyes playing nobodies? Lol
I believe he's quietly waiting in the shadows for OSU to stumble tonight. Then he'll pounce!
Good chance he is. There is a chance of it happening. Be a good test for both teams. I just had to poke the sleeping dog. I know he loves the banter.
Mom loves football. We chatted a the half. We agreed we are pleased with 3-3 at the half. If not for turnovers, might be down. Defense is stepping up when needed but getting lucky too. I'd like to see them get better.
We also cannot figure out the slow starting offense. How is it under multiple head coaches and multiple offensive coordinators. . .we cannot get out of the slow starting offense mode? Seems like it has always been this way. Being a second half team, I'm curious to see what is to come.

And hows that playing a ranked team working out for ya? Currently 31-13. I don't know if i would call what I'm seeing in this game as "playing".. OSU is kinda just there. I mean did the OSU defense all get shitfaced last night? Holes everywhere.
As for Bama they sucked ass today too. Played a cupcake and despite winning 41-10 they looked like garbage. They failed to stop 26 of 41 passes for 210 yards. Only let them have 66 rushing though. Still. BS performance against a cupcake. Give up pass yards like that and you're doomed to fall. As OSU is finding out right now. OU is what 400+ passing in this game so far.

Sooners are playing with heart. Buckeyes are not. Defense looks mediocre. I won't say terrible because Mayfield and the OU offense is tough. Mediocre isn't going to cut it in the big games. Offense has nothing working. Too predictable when you can't throw. So much talent on the field not being used. Who is the backup QB? Might be time to see him. Let Barrett work on his throwing skills. We have solid running backs. We don't need Barrett to run. We need to throw so they don't key in on Dobbins and Weber. Frustrating.
