He makes a very valid point about a more tailored approach to targeting the "at-risk" groups. Unfortunately, that is not how our current zero discrimination society works. We can't tell people over a certain age that they are not allowed to go outside or to work and that they have to self isolate while everyone else continues to go to the office. We can't tell black people, or people with health issues to stay home by order of law without running the risk, not only to government but also businesses, for discrimination lawsuits. The only way to avoid that is to do it equally across the board or not at all. Every category that we could slice a population in to is discriminatory anymore.
The point that we're at now is the data is there, the risk is known, it's time to let Americans be Americans and exercise free will.
