My mom passed away this morning. The doctors said she was getting better...went from max oxygen to 60% oxygen and was doing better. They didn’t allow visitors and when we called on the phone, she was too tired to answer. The nurses said she was ok, just needed rest. Early this morning her heart gave out...went into cardiac arrest. They did CPR and got her back, but said at this point, even if they incubated her, that her heart was too weak and she wouldn’t survive for more than a couple of hours and would just prolong the suffering. It tears me up that I didn’t get to say goodbye.

Sorry for your loss sarge....you will be in my prayers!!!

Thanks for the apology. The way i read it seemed to be an insult...and I’ve never had a problem with anyone on this site. I figured it must not have been worded correctly but the more I read it, the angrier I got. No worries, it’s all good.

very poor choice of words that reads off. No insult was intended. It was intended to ask about your mother who she was and what she loved, and what good she brought to you and the people around her. I'm sorry for your mom passing......and again sorry for the off post

Just getting caught up here. So sorry for loss Sarge.

I lost my grandpa back in June. Very similar situation and we weren’t allowed into the VA. I was able to FaceTime him right before his passing - which was a blessing.
