What do you think about that proposal?

I have no real opinion about myself because the bag limit hasn't changed for the counties that I currently hunt, however I am curious in what others might have to say about it, if anything.

Weird that the southern counties that were a 3 deer are now 2 when we probably have the most deer in the state and I'd also venture to guess has the lowest hunters per square mile density in the state as well since we have the larger tracts of land. Doesnt really bother me since I only take two a year myself and feel that is a good number for the entire state. Just odd

I really wish they’d split highland county. One side of my road you can kill 3 deer, the other is one. It’s also weird that when I want to see deer, I look across the road or drive south 25 minutes.

I'd like to see three in my county again. I don't need three. I know people who need the meat. I'm happy to provide it. That is a different state of mind than I had several years ago. My immediate area has rebounded well. Mainly because one guy is buying all the ground around me. He can only legally kill 2. He is running everyone off and the herd is growing. That said, this is a small portion of the county. Areas of our county are probably in need of more rebound.

Erie is a 3 deer county now? wtf!!!!!!!!!!!

how in the hell is galia a 2 deer county and erie and sandusky are 3, this makes no fuggin sense. Some parts of Erie are arguably have the lowest density in the state. Same with Sandusky

Where did you see this? I can't find it anywhere on their website. I though they were going to management units this year?

Where did you see this?

"Proposals concerning Ohio’s white-tailed deer hunting seasons will be presented at the next Ohio Wildlife Council meeting on Feb. 19.

Ohioans are encouraged to provide comments on the proposed rule changes and may do so in person or online. In-person comments can be submitted during the weeklong open house period from March 2-6, 2020, at any Division of Wildlife district office. Online submissions can be made at wildohio.gov beginning Feb. 21, 2020.

The Ohio Wildlife Council is an eight-member board that approves all Ohio Division of Wildlife proposed rules and regulations. Council meetings are open to the public. Individuals interested in providing comments are asked to call 614-265-6304 at least two days prior to the meeting to register. All comments are required to be three minutes or less.

A statewide hearing on all proposed rules will be held at the Division of Wildlife’s District One office on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 9 a.m. The office is located at 1500 Dublin Road, Columbus."
