We always called them rubber necks... Never really picked them... Hope to find some blondes soon....I can visualize Rick walking through the woods with his bag of pecker heads.
I do know the difference. We get a few false ones that grow on the farm.
27 more and some Pheasant Backs. Got wet and cold but well worth it.

Traded a Benjamin for almost 3#s. I don't have time to get to AEP and have no spots other than there, so I made due. Many fine meals to come, which makes it worth the $.

I dehydrate them for later use. I’m at camp. My spot had a dozen big ones today. I’ll pick them tomorrow before I head home. I found some of those tubular pecker heads that look like the ones that Rick’s picking. They just don’t look right to me. I’ll probably leave those alone. Are those younger ones? I’ll check them again in the morning for a more normal look.
