Going out for the first time ever for turkey this morning. With my bow and no call. Am I running late already? Any other time I’m blowing up this toilet so loud I wake a kid up. Yet today it wants to come slower than.... idk finish that yourself.

This guy was roosted 40 yards from where I sat down this morning. First time getting one right off the roost.

Got out late and i think two saw me from the roost and flew down. Don’t really know what im doing, thought they came down right at daybreak. Have two gobbling back and forth about 100 yards from each other over where I came in. Thought about making a move but not sure how I feel after spooking those earlier. Staying put for now.

It depends on the woods. Just move towards them super slow and call. Walk 10 feet and call and wait. If one sounds closer stop and get ready.
I’d have to walk a field edge and I think i’ll be hidden based on what it sounds like now. Maybe i’ll move if I hear them again.
I didnt bring a call. I want to observe without any temptation of calling. Probably dumb but im just starting out.
Kody stole my bird this morning! Lol
He was sitting about 75 yards to my left over a ride in the field. Gobbler came up behind me and made his way over to Kody’s decoy instead of mine. Heard the shot and was fired up!

Mason shot another one. He used a gun this time. He shot his bird at 730. We worked another one but had to leave him gobbling at noon. Found some mushrooms too. Another fine morning in the woods.

Alright fellas, quick question from a first-time turkey hunter. I'll be shooting my Winchester SXP 12 ga., Initially I ordered the wrong choke, since then I ordered a Browning invector plus. Can I shoot winchester XR 3-inch, 6 shot out of this combo?
Let me reiterate that this is my first time lol, but TOO is my go-to for deer hunting advice, and Im not getting much feedback from other places. Thanks!

I have the exact same gun and you will be just fine with that combo. The Longbeard XR is some really good stuff. Keep your shots inside 40 yds and you’ll kill a turkey no problem with 6’s.
