Yes. Permethrin and DEET is the answer. We mowed high weeds and traversed overgrown trails today and they literally fell off.

Wow! How did he prepare them so they would keep for a while? That’s more than one could eat in a couple of months...even if you ate some every day.

Hard to tell. I personally fry 2/3 done, freeze on a cookie sheet before the vacuum pack.
They are great for cooking dried as well.
