Photo taken 10til five this evening.
Was in the blind all day, from 6:45 a.m. @9* until 5:30 p.m. @36*. Today was a total bust! Only heard 3 shots total today, all 3 during the last half hour and they came from afar, miles away, and that was it. Just goes to show that deer hunting is never a slam dunk kind of sport.
Just got home a minute ago. I left the property @6:00 p.m. and it just started to sprinkle rain. The weather forecast for this location overnight and into tomorrow, calls for rain, starting tonight @9:00 p.m. and it won't stop until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. I won't hunt the morning tomorrow but, I will as soon as the rain stops in the afternoon for an evening hunt.
I closed up the blind nice and tight, zipping up all the windows to keep the rain from getting in. If I do not succeed tomorrow, then I'll keep right on hunting this setup until I shoot a good antlerless deer or until the end of the muzzy season, Tuesday evening.
Congratulations to all the successful muzzy hunters today, and good luck to all those that will back at it tomorrow!
Good night!
