Ask a GWHow far from a bait pile do you have to be? That is going to be the hard part these days with private land. We killed a bunch this year around the house too. That's 300 yards from the pile.
Cage match?Id like to watch that screwdriver match!
Surely, we all understand the difference between plinking squirrels literally standing on a pile of corn from a full concealment blind with a rifle on a rest and actually hunting squirrels like men, don't we? If anyone is confused about it, this might be a good time to iron that out.How far from a bait pile do you have to be? That is going to be the hard part these days with private land. ExactlyIf we’re gonna go down that rabbit hole then have a dogs vs no dogs category. Who cares how you kill em
I was just trying to have a little fun with Giles, but he must not have gotten his snack this morning, and since I'm one of only two people on this forum that hunts squirrels with dogs (the other is not participating in this thread) and you are obviously calling me out, I would be quick to point out that I respectfully declined to participate in this contest because I know it is completely unfair to everyone who is not hunting with dogs and I'm not really a fan of hunting contests of any kind in the first place. It does, in fact, matter how we kill things at least as much as why, or at least it damn well ought to no matter what we are killing. If we’re gonna go down that rabbit hole then have a dogs vs no dogs category. Cool. I agree that it matters how you kill things with the determining factor being is it legal and ethical. And I’ll add that as long as what you’re harvesting is not going to waste and your local (game of choice) population can support it. If it is, have a ball and fire at will. The whole point is to have fun. We can agree to disagree on method.I was just trying to have a little fun with Giles, but he must not have gotten his snack this morning, and since I'm one of only two people on this forum that hunts squirrels with dogs (the other is not participating in this thread) and you are obviously calling me out, I would be quick to point out that I respectfully declined to participate in this contest because I know it is completely unfair to everyone who is not hunting with dogs and I'm not really a fan of hunting contests of any kind in the first place.
