Found a bunch the just started to pop. Letting then grow up.
I must have forgot about this one. Should have been picked with the batch last weekend

Yeah just some dog peckers and small blacks around where I am looking. My honey hole got taken out for some reforestation project. It was all dead and dieing elms.

Where you at Brock? I am by no means an expert. But if your south of 70 start checking the north and west hills. I think this will turn into a banner year buy the soil ltemps through ohio

I took a pic with my foot next to one so you can get an idea of their size….have no idea what they are but they sure do like this spot…..started growing about a week ago. Some look past prime but don’t know if they are even edible.

Looks like berkeley or black staining polypores . Had to be a tree there once. At first I thought hens, to bad.
Real nice lions mane! Last year I found some September 3rd. Then I found hen of the woods on the 23rd. So hoping the next week or so I'll find some hens.

I found 1 hen yesterday & this morning I went to my best hen woods & only saw 1 young one. Some guys are killing them but not me, not yet. Good luck!
