This deer stood in this position for about 10 minutes…, and was still standing there when we walked by, never drank from the creek. It had to have heard us talking.

There's a nice buck near my house that has split brow tines, that I've been watching for several weeks. He and another big buck has been hanging around in the soy beans, in the evenings. About 4 days ago, he was about 60 or 70 yards from my house, when he spotted me standing in the back yard. He just stood there for a couple of minutes and then threw his head back (like an elk) and walked around in a circle, twice and then moved on into the woods. 
He is never within 180 yards of me and with the way he was walking, well it made me wonder.

Yeah, will check the creek tomorrow. It was very bizarre as can be.
found it dead in the creek where it was standing.
