This deer stood in this position for about 10 minutes…, and was still standing there when we walked by, never drank from the creek. It had to have heard us talking.

Oh boy, sure seems early but you never know. Any way to check in on her the next day or two to see if she makes it?

There's a nice buck near my house that has split brow tines, that I've been watching for several weeks. He and another big buck has been hanging around in the soy beans, in the evenings. About 4 days ago, he was about 60 or 70 yards from my house, when he spotted me standing in the back yard. He just stood there for a couple of minutes and then threw his head back (like an elk) and walked around in a circle, twice and then moved on into the woods. He is never within 180 yards of me and with the way he was walking, well it made me wonder.

Washington County's deer herd is getting decimated right now. It's hit at my house and several other locations in the county. Appears like it's going to be an extreme die off unfortunately.
I feel your pain. We lost about 60-75% of our herd last year in our part of noble. I was very very isolated though. Mostly my farm and a few neighbors
