I was 100% sure both his spikes were 3" or less the first time I pointed an arrow at him weeks ago. I would not have shot him otherwise.

Only a man accustomed to seeing 3” daily could clearly recognize when a deer’s antler is less than…or maybe a craftsman, skilled with measured tolerance. I guess that could be it???
