I was 100% sure both his spikes were 3" or less the first time I pointed an arrow at him weeks ago. I would not have shot him otherwise.

Only a man accustomed to seeing 3” daily could clearly recognize when a deer’s antler is less than…or maybe a craftsman, skilled with measured tolerance. I guess that could be it???

That took a lot longer than I thought it would, but it was too good a bait to fail.

Had to change things up a little bit to try and turn my luck around. Im in a stand, which I don't do a lot of gun week, overlooking the top of a big bowl that leads to best bedding on the farm. I also left the kids 350 and grabbed my proven 450 today. Last year's buck dropped in his bed about 80yds in front of me and the best buck I have on camera was 150yds from here couple days ago. We'll see lol.
