25' Buckeyes

Call a time out before you get a single play in? Ouch. The. They made a solid drive and I was wondering what was up. Defense has adjusted well since. Very impressive.

Other than the missed FG and bringing in Keinholz to run it for a loss, the offense has been pretty solid too. When they put Lincoln Keinholz in and he runs it Every. Single. Time. Starting to be pretty predictable. No clue why they bring him in to run the ball with the RBs we have? I'm still super impressed with yards after contact for Bo Jackson. He is good for 1-3 yards after initial contact most times.

Got to love seeing the second string play smash mouth football. I'm guessing the coaches wanted reps and time off the clock. Pretty impressive drive for a second string TD. Peoples looked better on this drive than he did the first 3 1/2 quarters. It still looked like he was in the wrong side of the QB a time or two. Earlier it forced Sayin to run the ball and he was pretty exposed. RB coach was shredding Peoples after that one. Looked like he did it to Keinholz once or maybe twice. That could have been on the QB though. Rusty with some nerves maybe?

Could you imagine the Heisman hype if Arch Manning had Julian Sayin's stats at this point in the season? It would be too much to listen to from the talking heads on tv.

If Julian keeps improving and leading this offense, he might find himself in that conversation closer to the end of the season.
I must admit I was totally wrong about Arch Manning for whatever reason for his lackluster play so far this season. I thought he came in and subbed last year and showed signs of great potential when called upon. Whether it’s the weight of high expectations or mental breakdowns under pressure he has all season to work on it.
Julian Sayin has been a pleasant surprise thus far this season and it appeared early on Day has been hesitant to open up the playbook and or let him throw downfield on deep routes. That all changed on Saturday and hopefully it’s a start of his progression and next level of play. I really like his humility and calmness demeanor he has on the field in his leadership role. Illinois will be a big test for him. GO BUCKS
