They had a plan in place for if they failed.Completely agree. They protecting the M in the center of the field more than their endzone.

Absolutely true, but he was also recruiting athletes to one of, if not THE top program in the country. If you’re recruited by Ohio State or any big D1 program it means you’re a top tier athlete that is looking to a program to place you in the NFL. Now, bring in another OC with NFL experience and ties to keep feeding the beast that is OSU. The OC job at OSU is a dream job and Day will have pick of the litter for who he selects next. This hurts my heart. I don't doubt Day will replace him with a solid OC. Hartline is just so amazing at recruiting and coaching the best receivers in The country.
This is my outlook. Frankly, we're lucky Hartlonr didn't jump after the last season or two. Maybe he'll be back someday, but I wish him luck in his new endeavor. As a career-oriented guy who has worked hard to climb the proverbial ladder myself, I respect the hustle and am happy that a genuinely good dude, is getting his shot. As they say, it was good while it lasted!Absolutely true, but he was also recruiting athletes to one of, if not THE top program in the country. As of now he’ll be around for post season according too Cleveland news….Although as I agree but this headhunting has to end till AFTER full season, IMO. If a sucky team isn’t a bowl game and wants to throw money at a top tier teams coach or coaches then wait till after their season is over before the call to set up an interview.
BTW, has anyone heard when he leaves? Is he already gone? Finishing the season?
He did just run an offense last year at ohio state that won a nattyNo C K please!!! Not after that 2024 Michigan game! Plus he was just fired for a reason. Way over rated for my liking. A Buckeye should have that job if possible
Remember Will Howard coming out of the game in the first half? Never really said what happened to him but appeared he got his bell rung. Came out in the second half and turned it into a running game for the most part. They may never say, but I really believe he was worse than they admitted. They abandoned the passing game and Howard was impressive all season other than that second half where they nixed the passing.I just didn't get that game plan for the biggest game of the season at that point and it pissed me off. But that lost turned out to probably be the best thing ever for this program and I believe it's carried over to this season also. That being said I just don't like his style of game. With the talent OSU pulls a lot of people could have won that championship last year. He bailed on us let's move on
