nothing like the first big one with a bow....congrats man....you will kill that deer a thousand times or more over the next year. and also everytime you look at the mount. Is the reason we do what we do. Damn nice deer and great story. You are now part of an elite group that has earned a big one and has the passion. Nothing like it....
I wish I had done a better job of documenting the recovery and directly afterwards. But I was amped up and never thought about. That won't happen next time. I do have these 3 shots, although they are not the greatest...

Jesse, that was a great read and an awesome close to a long chapter in your hunting career. Stellar job, and my hat is off to you for sticking with it.
Finally! I had a chance to sit down and read your story. Been very busy today but wanted to read it first before looking at the pics.
Where do I start? It couldn't have happened to a more deserving hunter! We all hunt hard and put in our time, at least as much as our schedules allow us but YOU and a few others on here were/are due! Although every hunting season brings us all much anticipation and a positive outlook as how we want our season to play out with a slob laying on the ground with our tag on him, but it doesn't always play out that way. Like you mentioned in your story, we all have had close encounters go awry where a shot either wasn't presented or worse, a miss or a bad hit. BUDDY, this time, you made it happen and stayed focused and put a bruiser on the ground! Congratulations!!!!!
When I got the text I was so happy for you! Waiting to read your story and see more pics was brutal(rotflmao) but hey, I understand how much work you have to do after the fact and how important it was for you TOO finalize such a great ending to a perfect story.
How awesome is it to have such an awesome memorable experience as you begin the next chapter of your life! That is just TOO good! Congrats again buddy!
