Annual "what did ya get?" Thread

Treated the 4 kids and their significant others to 5 days at a log cabin in Logan. 1st grandchild was the center of attention. Wife and I got each other 1 gift we’ll open when we get home. Blessed to be surrounded by family and the hills/woods down here.
I made out pretty good. If I combined almost all my gifts into one, I could go kayaking while brandishing an AR chugging a bottle of Black Velvet in my alpaca socks.

Well I guess my wife listened when I gave her the gun to give back to me. She didn't mess up wrapping it. LOL. Can't wait for spring to get here. :lol: It is a Savage 301 turkey in 20 gauge. Comes standard with the turkey choke and accessory rail for the scope/red dot. Nice gun for under $200

@Jackalope, the wife bought the same camera earlier his year for our Alaska trip. Takes phenomenal pictures and easy too get used too...

Joe you are going to love the bluetooth sync on that camera. Makes downloading and editing photos super convenient. Now you get to start learning the dlsr. Enrole in an online e how class. If you just use the camera in auto mode like a highend point and shoot you are wasting the potential of the camera.
We got camera stuff too. I got a 10 to 20 ultra wide angle lens for our nikon d7500. Also got a lightweight carbon fiber tripod for backpacking.

Thanks guys. I've been wanting to give photography a shot for a while. I've noticed over the years i kinda have an eye for a unique frame or a potentially great shot but have always just had a shitty camera phone to take it with. I can't wait to dive in and learn some new things.
Nothing for me. Wife knows better. I buy myself plenty of gifts throughout the year. Matter of fact, Santa just delivered a couple thousand rounds of 9mm to my door a few days ago. Those holiday PSA deals, yo. Lol!
I got the most precious gifts I ever received. I got to watch three grandchildren have an exceptional Christmas when everything was going against them. (Fucked up series of events for sure) But it all worked out.... you would have had to been in this house to even have a clue what I was talking about. Let's just say the excitement here and at their own house the next morning made my entire Christmas more than I could ever ask for.
Wife and I held off on stuff for ourselves. We will be moving my sister from GA to OH this next week and need to make sure we can get it all done and still make it home with gas money LOL! Kids did ok though, a few things they asked for and a few things we wanted to get them.
Most years we spend it all on the kids. Now that they’re older we had a little left over to get each other something. Kendra splurged on a badass D’Angelico Hollow Body for me! It sounds as good as it looks.

My wife gifted me a guitar TOO. A Les Paul Tribute. Unfortunately, there was no talent included but it will look good on the wall.

I didnt ask for much as I've spent plenty on hunting stuff this year. I did get the ryobi drill set I asked for and seeing my kids open their stuff was plenty for me.
