Some flat it awesome collections posted in here.

I only have two that I found here in Ohio but I admittedly haven't done any hunting just stumbled on them turkey hunting.

And this unknown item. It appears to be rock, non metallic. But I can't for the life of me figure it out.

I did it a few years back. Took about two weeks for a reply and I didn't get any replies from my replies.

Dave's response wss probably something like this:

Dear Mr. Giles,

Sorry for the delay in responding...

The first picture does not appear to have any rocks. Rather, it appears to be a can of beer held by one hand and partially obscuring the face of a man. Interestingly, a finger is extended in the air. Perhaps the man was pointing to a rock that is not visible in the picture you submitted?

While we cannot say for sure without closer inspection, the second specimen you submitted appears to be a dried up dog turd.

We hope that this was helpful.

Sincerely,

ODNR

Joe, whether true or not, I was told by several people that the tool you posted is a shaft scraper, used to hone arrows. I was always skeptical, but could realistically see it work

When I moved back from NC, I rented my house to a avid arrow head hunter/treasure hunter. Came down to check on my house before I sold it and the guy had literally filled my house with rocks and old garbage from he said was from the civil war. Any of ya'll this extreme?

Very cool stuff! I used to spend a lot of time walking a local field. They no longer plow it so I haven't been out much. If there is anyone in SE Ohio that has a field they don't mind sharing hit me up.

Now that was friggin HILARIOUS! Thanks Joe!!!:smiley_clap:

If you notice in one of the above pics, there is a big empty space in the middle of a case. Dad had a beatiful, what we called a ceremonial spear point, but who knows. It was probably 6" long by 3" wide at the one end. It was white and beautiful as hell. When Dad was at Cleveland Clinic, he struck up a friendship with his Dr, who collected artifacts. A week or so before Dad died, he gave that to him as a token of appreciation, which I thought was awesome.

That was AWESOME Red! Great collection TOO!
