Well I took her out for her maiden voyage today. I attended a sporting clays event for my buddy’s daughter softball fundraiser. Let’s say she shoots sweet and I surprised myself breaking 81 out of 100 clays. I’ve never shot clays before and first time using my new shotgun. We had a great time and came in second out of 22 teams of 4. We also shot the flurry round and tied for 1st with two other pairs. We shot again and came in second.

Picked up a plinker and backyard nuisance .22 LR. This is a Ruger precision bolt action rimfire. I threw a vortex crossfire 2-7x32 scope on it. Got a close zero at 50 yards and backed out to 75 to see the ballistics. I'm running CCI 40 grain subsonic hollow points through it. Fun little gun to play with!

OMG a big hairy scary assault weapon with a huge clip who needs a black gun like that and why oh please think of the children...

And there you have it, your daily quota of AG dumbasserry/buttfuckery. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

My buddy Jackson and I shot our long range weapons today at 185 yards in a stiff breeze. We wanted to stretch out to 400, but it was too breezy to attempt, so we settled for a known yardage. I bought this Howa 1500 .30-06 off my uncle a few years ago and figured I'd sell it and double my money, then buy something else. But after shooting it, it's a keeper. Jackson had his Savage .308 out today and it's one bad weapon. He also has a new Howa 6.5 Creedmoor and I shot the CVA .450 for the first time. Both guns are now dialed in at 50, but unfortunately, we got rained out before we could stretch it out. He also has a new pistol tree and we burnt up 100 rounds each through our Glocks in about 20 minutes. Was a fun morning!
