Haven't had a chance to try them out yet but for self defense distance it should be pretty good. There are some pretty good YouTube ballistic tests with them. Those are the extreme penetrators they also make extreme defenders. The flutes are bigger on the defenders. They penetrate like ball ammo but make a nice wound channel like a hollow point. Expensive little bastards at 28.99 for 20 rounds.

My grandfather had a double barrel 12 (hammers and Damascus barrels) along with three boxes of 00 buckshot. Shotgun shells were brass case the entire length with paper at the very top with 00 printed on it. He said that being I was the only one in the family that hunted, I could have it when he passed. He passed in 1994 and a couple weeks after the funeral, I asked my grandmother about it and she said yes, she remembers him saying I could have it and told me to go to the basement closet and get it. She told me I could have every gun that was in there too. Well, my cousins had ransacked the place while my grandmother was at the funeral. They took everything...even the flag that I gave my grandfather from when I was stationed at Ft. Myer Virginia (Arlington National Cemetery). I would’ve never hunted with that gun because of its age, but I would’ve loved to have it hanging in the living room with those old shells on a shelf.

That down right sucks that they grabbed everything.... I have a couple of my grandfathers guns and the family knows they don’t leave the family..... I haunt the mofo that breaks that vow....
