Yep, I have a bit of OCD, only on certain things. Wouldn't had worried about it if it wasn't an option. Just happened the barrel was available in stainless and the grip adaptor in FDE...my favorites.

Cheaper in the long run doing it your way that's for sure...... Does Sig have that option as well?????

I would have thought the 9mm may have been to narrow for the .40mag and could possibly cause the .40 magazine/9mm combo to double feed.But after doing a little looking on good ol "Google". seems plenty of people who do this when they convert their .40 cal Glocks to 9mm with a conversion barrel..That info has put me even closer to getting a conversion barrel now.

Nope. You can go down in caliber but not up.

I may start looking for a 10mm. Then I could have 10mm, 40, 9, .22 and 357 sig. All on the same frame.
 
I bought a Marlin 1895 GBL in .45/70 GOV'T. People can say what they want about the Remington produced Marlin's. However, this is probably the one nicest Marlin's I have seen that was made produced in the last 10 years. It is also one of the most accurate lever actions I have seen. 1.75 inch MOA at 100 yards with irons is hard to beat in a rifle in this price range. I'm done searching for JM stamp marlins at often times extremely high prices. The quality issues that Remington had previously circa 2010-2013 until I see examples of otherwise in 2014 rifles seem to be resolved. Needless to say I'm happy.

Awesome!!!! I'm glad you ended up getting one and real glad you were not local and ended up with mine. Don't know what i was thinking trying to sell that gun lol. I don't think you will have any issues with it and if you do its new and thats what the warranty is for. I'm going to have to try some of those hornadys.
 
Nice going Tom, like the wood grain on the rifle and the grouping for open sights is damn good.... Congrats on the purchase.... Is the hornadys the only she'll you've tried?
