Very cool Huck. Anytime you can show someone, teach someone, or give someone a new experience with guns. . . It is a good thing. You are correct. The J frame 38specials are not friendly to the inexperienced. Surprisingly accurate for a 2" barrel. Not designed so much for target shooting. lol You know what that means? You need to buy a big boy revolver. Maybe a larger framed 357 to take friends shooting and leave by the night stand? Erin didn't like my 642 at all. Shot my buddy's 357 in a larger frame and was telling me how much she liked it. Might be time to take Momma shopping for something more manageable. Good excuse to buy another gun. lmao
Well said brother, well said.GoetsTalon- Its a cycle most of us go through over the years. I guess the best that can be said is that it allows one to appreciate things as we get older.
A fine assortment of Smiths.
Looks nice Tom, why you shortening the barrel?
Thanks. Mostly because like short rifles. I already have an earlier production 336c in 35 rem that will keep its 20 inch barrel. In the 70s marlin made a limited production of 16.5 336 rifles they called marauders. i have wanted one for a while but dont prefer its straight stock. Then beener posted a picture of winchester 94 trapper that I really like the looks of other than it being a winchester. So i decided to build my own custom marlin 336 trapper type rifle.
