Went to an estate auction today in Aurora. I'd seen some guns in the sale bill but nothing that interested me as described, was more interested in some other things listed. Anyways one of the guns was a left handed Charles Daly .50 cal Hawkens. It was the second item in the auction and I snagged it for a VERY low price. Has some handling marks but should be a good shooter.

Yep NE Ohio is auction country. I could easily find an auction to attend 5 or 6 days a week within an hour drive. Got some deals over the years but have seen lots of stuff sell for stupid money too. Been on the other side too, sold stuff cheap and other things I wonder what the bidder was thinking.
