Lol. Slightly longer version I bought a bow for my daughter and then took her there to get it set up on her birthday. They were real rude to both of us. It pissed me off bad enough that I wanted to tell the manager about it. His response was "I find that hard to believe because cabelas is known for their excellence in customer service".

Sent an email to their corporate customer service and got an automated response. They have lots of nice stuff but I'll spend my money somewhere else. Field and Stream works for me.

Meh, Field and Stream is owned by Dicks who decided yoga pants were more important than the 2nd amendment protection. They were one of the first to bend to public pressure after SH.

I will never buy from them.

I actually like them both but I do prefer the in store experience at Bass Pro over Cabelas. In my experience the guys at BP seem to know more about what they are selling. Cabelas they just hire warm bodies. The guy I recently dealt with in Columbus store was a college kid and had no clue. I asked where the lifelines were and he couldn't even find them. And he was working in the treestand section. I've had similar experiences at other stores too. Now I do like their hunting line overall better than BP. I will have to say I don't mind the Red Head brand. I know it's not high end but it is cheap. I bought that stuff for my kids because they outgrew it so quickly and it's affordable.

Personally I'd hate to see them combine. Probably mean more price fixing and less stores.

Lives up too the keeping you warm claim?

My bibs and parka are close too 8 years old and served their purpose for the technology at the time but are on the louder side when on stand and I shift any but they are water proof.... Looking for something for later season stand hunting that quiet.... I've got plenty of base layers to go under them....

J, I have the Stand Hunter coverall for late season. It's the warmest garment Ive ever owned. If you buy that line of clothing you won't need many base layers. I wear my heavy base layer and my lightweight turkey clothes over that when I walk in. At the stand I put on my coverall and am plenty warm. Even when it's below zero out.

Yeah you don't want to walk too far in them. I walked back to the truck once in mine. It was only a 1/4 mile but I was soaked in sweat and almost passed out! I must have looked pretty stupid sweating like a pig on a zero degree day.

Apparently most of you are too young to remember that Gander Mountain was the cheaper mail order catalog to buy from until the mean and nasty Cabelas bought them out of the mail order business and started gouging prices. I am talking back in the late 70's or early 80's.Pre computers and internet. With Cabela prices, I think they deserve to be bought out. Not sure but I think Gander Mountain is still bound by the no catalog sales deal.

My opinion is they are all grossly overpriced. Been in Wheeling Cabelas once and never again. Really turned off by the Bargain Cave prices.

Not a fan of gander mtn clothing or anything else there but yea like i said it is pricey but some of the best cold weather clothing i have ever owned.
J it is also very quiet.

They were delivered today.... Tried them on, nice and quiet and heavy enough for the upcoming winter lol.... So far I like what's see..... How are they in the rain Brian? They get waterlogged pretty good?
