My dad just sent me a video from last night. He is in western PA. That bear is right where I used to let my dogs out!! It went over to his garbage cans and jumped at it to try to knock it over. He has it tied so raccoons can't knock it over. Thank God it is this year and not last year. We saw it September of last year and now it is lurking already. It's huge in my opinion, but I have little knowledge of black bears.

Thats what I told him. Our dogs and the activity we brought kept it away. Now its just them and a lot less smells and activity there. Now I know what that big set of wide set eyes was staring at me last year that one night was!

Bear doesn't look that big... Currently it's breeding season for bears, so the likelihood of seeing one is currently very good... You'll be fine...

New bear! My dad's neighbor caught this on his trail cam. There are rumors of a cinnamon bear in his area. Its hard to tell because its a night pic, but it does appear to not be black

I think he's cute! Till he steps foot in my berry patch. That's an Amish bear out on his Rumspringer...just a teen doing teen things, like the Amish teen they act a bit dumb at times and are opportunists like them also.
