This is the best $6.00 I have spent in a long time. Came with a vent also. One half inch hole and it is like old times when a gas can was simple.

You can modify those whacked out ones they come with. Push it in, remove the o-ring then pull the spout back out the front. Remove the spring, put the spout back in and replace the o-ring. No more spring...push the red button, push in the spout and pour. Pull the spout out for transport. Make sure the vent is on top when pouring. I showed my roofer that trick and he was amazed!

But yeah, I have spent the $6 for some as well!

I just “fixed” four of my gas cans the same way two weeks ago. I friggin’ hated those new spouts. $16 for four nozzles and vents from Amazon. Even came with the drill bit.

A prime example of government improvement…. Designed to prevent spills and causes more gas to hit the ground than the tank.
