Best Concert............

I'm very lucky to have grown up in an era of great music. Not only was I into great classic rock like Zep and Pink Floyd, but the stuff that was out was instant classic as well.

My only regret is not being into country at the time. Wish I was more well rounded in that department. The cool thing is, some of the old stuff is new to me and keeps it fresh.

Ric got to see Waylon? Damn!
Yep, Ric is lucky he got to see Waylon. I've always liked pink Floyd also. I saw a Floyd tribute band at the house of blues years ago, can't remember their name but they are one of their best tribute bands.

Yes guys, Waylon was huge in SE Ohio back in the day. Hell, we had Waylon trucker caps made up at the county fair and others had leather belts with his name etched on them. Prolly the most popular of the outlaws at the time!

The CM video of him and Hank Jr. singing "The Conversation" with Jessie Colter being the bar maid still gives be goosebumps when I watch it!

I heard The Oppossum sing, "Who's gonna fill their shoes" the other day and got a tad misty eyed.....They're dropping like flies guys! Better enjoy Willie and Hag as much as possible cuz they're prolly next....:smiley_baby:

Hey, Willies son Lukas sounds and looks identical to Willie when ole Red was in his prime! If you get a chance check him out on YouTube! Love that Willie verbrata when he sings...:smiley_coolpeace:

I've been lucky enough to see Garth and George strait.

Both were amazing shows. I got to see George STRAIT IN VEGAS OM SUPERBOWL WEEKEND DURING HIS LAST TOUR. THATll be hard to top!

Seen Foo Fighters back in August outside of Indianapolis at the Klipsch Theatre. Had a blast. Foo Fighters are probably my favorite band in the last 10 years or so.

Lead singer is from up here in Trumbull county and comes back periodically and hangs out....

My first was ZZ Top, great show. The stage equipment was covered with a huge white tarp and a King Tut statue sucked the tarp up its nose when the music started. Def Leppard was another great show. Saw KISS and hands down the best entertainers but never been real big on their music. AC/DC was awesome, their music is what makes their show along with Angus. Saw Ted Nugent, and a lot of Hair Bands LOL.
Travis Tritt was a great show and I sat in the 2nd Row at a Miranda Lambert show right when she hit the big time, and her ass looks bigger the closer you are to her.
Some of my favorites has been the Acoustic sets at Stewarts Opera House in Neslonville, Todd Snider is a great show there and I even got to see Steve Earle and he's one ugly dude.

Never saw em but love the song.............

Yea, that's a badass video. The coordination to put that together is crazy. I just love David Grohl. His politics are different, but he's pretty much against any legalization of drugs. Not that I am, but just shows he truly cares about people in general. Dude is a badass drummer and pretty good on guitar. I just love him live because he rips on Coldplay, Imagine Dragons and other "Alternative" bands that are popular. At the concert in Indy, he had Naked Raygun open for them. They were the first group he ever seen live as a 15 year old in a shithole bar in Chicago. When he seen them he went home and decided to be a musician. Just a cool gesture

My wife just hit me up for the Garth concert in April. She grew up in AK and they don't have any real concerts...so she's never been to a good one. Looks like we'll be seeing Garth this year.

My wife just tagged me on FB about him coming to Columbus in April. Looks like we might be seeing him again. Anyone who has ever thought of seeing him. . . I highly recommend it. We saw him in Detroit last March. Second show of the night. He still rocked for 2.5hrs. His performance was spectacular.
