Best rifled slug going?

Haven't shot a rifled slug in a long time.

I've been using the Winchester Supreme Partition Gold Sabots for around 7 years or so.

I've been using a rifled barrel with Rem copper sabots....but this year I'm gonna try the good ol' Remington Slugger and my single shot just for giggles - been pretty good in practice

I pulled that slug out of a doe that I shot from ground level at ~75 yds, facing straight at me. Slug went through her chest and lodged itself near the hip socket. As soon as it hit her, her legs went stiff and she flopped over backwards... legging sticking straight up.

JB..those are my fovaorite tracking jobs.:smiley_coolpeace:

I agree. Honestly that one ranks right up there in my top 2 or 3 gun-kills. That doe just turned into a statue as soon as the Barnes hit her. Must have been some incredible shock trauma.

On a side note... Schu said he liked the Partition Golds by Winchester. If I remember correctly, they are darn near identical to the Barnes Expanders. They're great slugs too.

Anything with a Barnes Expander slug.

Been shooting them from my muzzleloaders and shotguns for many, many years.

Excellent performance.
