If they are laying on the ground I'm sure the birds are eating the hell out of them. Since I cleared the spot in my woods for my new plot I've noticed several turkey feathers laying around. I got 4-5 turks on camera when I last check and I'm sure they were in there dusting themselves and pecking my seeds out of the ground. Carroll county didn't get any rain last night? Kind of looked like that storm was headed that way. But to answer your question, I was just out to check my plot today and I have germination already from the watering I did on Saturday, those seeds were in the ground for 3 weeks.Lookin good. The plot we planted on the 21st looks like Death Valley. Not a drop of rain since we planted it, probably is going to be a total loss. How long can seeds lay on the ground and still germinate?
So do I! I have some serious hours in them.Damn dude! You're busting your ass on these plots. Hope it pays off for ya!
That really sucks. I'm probably going to have to go out and water mine again if we don't get this chance of rain they are calling for Wednesday and Thursday.I wasted $200 on seed, lime and fertilizer this year. Bums me out...
