Yep like Chad said coon season went out the end of January so have to let em go.

Too bad coon season is out,have turned 5 loose the last two days.lol
Had a yote but he pulled the stake and all out of the ground today,it was set in a low area that was really soft and wet after the thaw.Pisses me off but maybe get him again or i figure he will get hung up.

Yea Chuck i have not even tried for coon this yr and think i have caught around 18.lol

Hopefully he does. What kind of locks do you use on your snares?

Is that a cam style lock? If so, I would imagine that it wouldn't be long before it got choked out.

When i pulled in to check snares today i saw 2 red fox trotting across the field,pretty cool sight.
Caught a small red male today also and had fun letting him loose,he had the whole length of the snare to run circles so had to improvise and get a big tree limb out of the woods and throw it on the snare to keep the little guy from running round and round.lol
It worked and was able to catch him and let em go,lots of fox here so will wrap up next week .
Also i have been keeping my eye on a deer carcass and some yotes have finally started tearing into it the last couple of days,have seen their tracks on trails coming to it so put 5 sets in today,hopefully will catch a couple of them.
Thats all i got for today fellas.

When you release them from snares are you snipping the cable to let them go? Or is is possible to slide it back enough to get them out?
