Chuck i cut the snare completly off of them.
Once i get them in the catch pole i hold the fox tight to the ground and reach down and cut the snare off of their neck.
Sure is alot easier with two people but i manage by myself.
Little fugger pulled out today before i cut him loose and almost bit me.lol
Ya gotta be quick or they will get ya.
Had a coon the other day that was meaner than crap, little guy kept charging at me but finally caught the little guy.

Had a fun day checking snares today,Ric and his daughter Karissa made it up today and we caught a pretty blonde female yote.
It was fun to see the two of them get excited seeing a yote up close like that.
We let Karissa shoot her first animal ever so that was cool also, she is a nice young lady that Ric has raised right.
I tell ya the most fun i have had this year was having Braydon and Karissa along and seeing kids get excited about the outdoors.
Was fun having Rick and Ric tag along and glad they could make it with the kids and we caught a yote each time.
We also heard one barking today and thought we might have had another one but wasnt to be.

Very cool! If it didn't bother her to shoot the yote while it was tied up, it sure as heck isn't going to bother her when she gets a chance at a deer! Well done Brian!

That is awesome Brian! Didn't know Ric and Karissa was there. That is TOO COOL that we both brought the little ones and you produced well! Guess the odds were in our favor with you slingin the snares! Congrats on another one.

I want to extend our most sincere appreciation for you letting us tag along as you ran your snare line Brian!!! You are a pro buddy and make it look so easy! I learned an awful lot today but am still greener than a cuke! Lol We can't wait to get home and watch the whole thing today play out on our TV! Glad I brought my video camera......I had a gut feeling...:smiley_clap:

Didnt really notice this until getting ready to skin but the yote yesterday could not use its left front leg,it was locked in this position and had longer toenails and long hair on its pad from not using it.
Must have broke it sometime and that is how it healed.
Amazing how it could still catch food with 3 legs.

That's crazy! My buddy's boy shot a buck a few years back with a stiff leg.
