Whether the Buckeyes make it to the playoffs means little to me! Sure I'd love to see them in but they just took care of business and prolly played as near a perfect game than I have seen a scarlet and gray team play in a very long time! Other than a few false starts and stupid clock management errors costing us a time out they played and coached flawlessly! Awesome execution and the receivers went up and caught the ball instead of waiting for it!

Bottomline: They did the very best they could and its up to the committee to decide. Yay or nay.....I'm very proud of em!

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!

............can't wait to hear Mark May critique them this time! He'll find something to make them unworthy for playoff contention! Hahahahahahahaha
Ditto Bro!

Mark May is an absolute jack ass! Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to it, but that guy is a hater thru and thru. Lol

I don't have a horse in the race (been a Nebraska fan since I was kid) but I think the 4th spot should go to the Buckeyes. I know they have a bad loss but they won with 3 different QB'S and smoked a good Wisconsin team for the conference title. TCU should be out even though they have the "best" loss. To me head to head should trump all so Baylor should get the nod in the Big12. There's a good argument to put Baylor in but for me the tiebreaker was yesterday's games. If Baylor smoked Kansas State or the OSU/Wisconsin game was close then maybe the edge goes to Baylor. But going by the statements made this weekend I say it goes 1. Oregon 2. Alabama 3. Florida St. 4. Ohio St.

Baylor got blown out by a 7-5 WVU team in the middle of the season. TCU beating a 2-10 Iowa State team 55-3 really isn't that impressive when compared to what OSU last night. We won our conference outright, not sharing or debate. Our loss is the most "excusable" or "understandible" and that does have weight with the committee. If all 3 teams replay their loss, ours is the only one that is drastically different.

Not that I want to play Alabama, but I want a shot at a title.

It was a hell of a win no doubt. And impressive considering the QB situation. While I agree with you about the replay of the one loss. However the committee also understands that OSU only played two teams the entire season that are ranked in the top 25. They should look at that like a guy demanding to be allowed in MMA semifinals after beating up the special ed class. Granted TCU is no better only playing two in the top 25 themselves. Bama and Oregon both played 5 in the top 25.

It says a lot about a team to go 12-1 and win their title while on their third string QB. It also says a lot about how crappy their entire competition is throughout the season for that to even be possible. OSU played a hell of a football game last night for sure. But I would hope the committee takes the competition into consideration before we end up with another Florida and LSU type loss once OSU has to play ranked teams outside the Big 10.

HA. Always the hater. Bring on Alabama!!!

I'm not hating. Just calling a spade a spade. Nothing I said was speculation or untrue. It says a lot about how crappy a teams season competition is when they can go 12-1 and win their conference title on their third string QB. They played two teams currently in the too 25 the whole season. How that works out to being ranked number 5 is beyond me. And the same could be said for TCU. It's like beating super Mario cart on easy mode. Sure you won. But.....

This will be an interesting playoff!
Wished there was no controversy, but there always will be. 8 teams would have fix that. However, I am looking forward to watching Alabama/OSU go at it. IMO, this game will be closer than years past.

8 teams won't stop the hate cause teams 9 & 10 will bitch. I think it helps cause the Power 5 get in, along with a couple runner-ups and a wild card. But you'll still have people complaining.

It's a stretch too say OSU can walk in and play the #1 seed with a third string QB and win it outright.... With that being said, they'd turn everyone upside down if it was done.... Being a realist I'd say if we can keep it close the entire game that'd be impressive....

If the team that showed up last night shows up for Bama, I'll be happy to send Joe a scarlet Sugar Bowl Champs shirt. If any other version of OSU shows up, we'll still have to listen to Joe's trash talk. LOL

I agree. 8 would help this year. Next year there might be 4 clear dominant teams. Whoever is ranked 9-12 is going to be singing the blues if they change it next year. Lots of variables. I know this year will be interesting. Would really like to see OSU step up like they did last night and represent the Big 10. Big10 has not been impressive the last couple years. Say they beat Bama. OSU versus Oregon or FL St would be no easy feat either. Whoever wins the playoff will have won it though. I like this better than past National Champions. Not every year did I feel the NC was truly the best in the nation. Some years? Yes. Not every year though.
