Mason would really surprise me if he shot that deer. He has passed far better the last two years, and I was right beside him trying to get him to shoot! Once we find out that big sucker is alive, he will be all in to kill him again, I'm sure. Personally, I'd like to fill out tags and start bird hunting. 8 solid months of hunting at every opportunity for the last two years , I'm ready to move on. Heck, maybe he is too.
So anyway, Mason is a killer. With that being the case, he rigged up an ice fishing pole and mounted it to a blowgun. Why would anyone do that you ask? To kill and retrieve frogs, of course ! We spent the afternoon mowing at his grandmas and arrived home just after dark. He wanted to try it out so we went to the neighbors pond. He shot and retrieved the first one perfectly. So he snuck up to another, shot a dart into its head and it pulled free in the ensuing battle. The third shot was also on the mark and blew clean through the frog, unfortunately his line came untied from the dart and the frog got away. His marksmanship was perfect but we need to make adjustments to the system. Still, he did prove it will work exceptionally well with some tweaking.

Look, here's a dead frog.
