Awesome stuff! The habitat destruction will continue until it makes cents for land owners and farmers

It’d be great if there was software that took crop yield data and visually showed landowners profitable acres vs acres in the red that could be made neutral/ profitable through habitat grants

Oh no, the newest trend is clearing waterways of anything but well mowed grass. There is no monetary gain, not an extra row of beans to be gained, just bald scorched earth because it “looks good”. @LonewolfNopack can attest… they have equipment and time to kill right now. It’s sickening. Their goal seems to be to insure there isn’t enough cover to support a field mouse.
Waterways that are habitat highways and honey hole covers through crop fields in IA / KS

There is, it's called precision agriculture. Its readily available to most farmers if they seek it. Many simply don't care. It's been branded in their DNA to have a "clean" farm, even if they are well intentioned at heart. I could write a book on this mentality, but Aldo Leopold already did and called it "A Sand County Almanac". A must read for anyone who appreciates conservation. It was written in the 1940s but I wish he were still alive to write a few more chapters of the modern day.

Well done Brock and Peanut. Rooster!
