The wind has laid down. I'm going in the morning. I bet I'm up before the alarm too. One of my Fayette Co. buddies killed a dandy tonight... Time to go!

Any pics?

I'm thinking about staying up and hunting in the morning as well. Can't hunt in the evening due to taking the family trick or treating. Getting ansy about hunting. Haven't been out since Sat. Evening and one of the nicer bucks got plucked this past weekend. They should be moving good tomorrow.

I had an awesome hunt this morning, but didn't see anything I wanted to shoot. There was a small buck in the field as I climbed into my stand. He spooked a lil, trotted off maybe 100 yards or so, and just as it got light enough to see he came back to see what the heck was up the tree. He never did figure it out and continued on his way. Shortly after, a doe and fawn came right under my stand. I snapped a pic, but had my phone on "red-eye" and caught the doe's attention with the preliminary flash. She spooked a little too, but not bad. Jumped a couple of times and walked off. Saw to more does, each with two fawns in tow. That excites me a lot... I've seen multiple fawns this year, and over the last four or five years I've seen about three adult does for every fawn! I can't help but wonder if the late winter coyote work has actually helped? I also saw a nice 2 1/2 year old. He hung around a while and ate in the cut corn field a bit. Took a couple of pics w my phone, one through my rangefinder. BTW, he gave all kinds of shot opportunities at 40-45 yards. Hope to see him in a couple years! Great hunt, can't wait till tomorrow to do it again!

Add ten more to my season's total sightings. Bout forgot...saw a bobtail squirrel too!

Good stuff Brock! Congrats to your friend on his buck. Good luck buddy, they are seeking and chasing in many areas right now! Got to be ready at any moment.

Congratulations on your deer again, Ric!

Had a little slower morning today. I saw two small bucks, both 8 pts., and both right after sunrise. I saw two cats, some squirrels, hawks and crows too. I got out of the tree about 10. Decided I should sneak around the backside of a woodlot to check scrapes...they were there like usual. And, there was a doe and fawn there too! I spooked em a little, but for some reason when they got up they ran TO me! They stopped about 15 yards away. We looked at each other for a while, then they turned around and walked off.
I went and checked a stand I haven't been in since the second week of season. It's still there, and the creek crossing looks like it's being used by cattle, with really small feet! I'm gonna hunt it in the morning.

I had an awesome hunt this morning. I saw 17 deer, 5 bucks, two of which were good ones. Another that was pretty nice (120) 8 pt before he got a few points broken off. Mason and I saw him on opening weekend, and if he makes it another year or two he is going to be a stud.

The first deer I saw this morning was the bobtail doe with her two fawns. She immediately caught the attention of a dandy 8 point that is probably about 140. He checked her out, chased her a minute or two and went on his way. While I watched them, nother buck (nice but no guess on score), chased a doe through the woods across the creek from me.

There were deer everywhere this morning, but again what I found most exciting was the number of fawns I saw. I know that doesn't make sense to some, but it's been years since we've had fawns around here by the time fall rolls around! There were two does and three fawns that played in the creek in front of me for a time and eventually came up under my stand. Two of the fawns were button bucks with double white throat patches...one of em had white all the way to his brisket! Pretty nice morning. November is GRAND!

I really need to start carrying a camera with me, but the phone will do I suppose. :)

Good advice, Ric. I did this morning, and rattled some too. I love to call 'em in with horns, but didn't get any bucks in. One of the groups of antlerless deer came in within 5 minutes of me hanging up the horns, but they weren't charging in like a big ol buck sometimes will.

I can't wait for sunrise!

Saw seven Saturday morning. Three bucks, four antlerless. Spent a lot of time in the brush Saturday, saw a ton of rabbits, and four woodcocks. Spent some more time in the brush Sunday, saw more rabbits and a woodcock, and a couple deer. Got to the stand with Mason late on Sunday evening. Saw two bucks and three antlerless. No chasing seen at all on Sunday.

At it again in the morning for a short hunt. Gotta wrap it up by 10, but that's fine with me as I get bored quick anyway!:)
