Absolutely was! This tree is one I've wanted to be in for years. I've watched deer cut through there forever, but still I'm amazed at what I've seen from it this season. We live for days like these.

Alot of truth right there! What a awesome day! I'd be giddy as heck TOO Brock! Good luck tomorrow...pole axe a slob buddy!

Good for you Brock. Hope the missus is feeling better so you can get more seat time. Must have been one of those days. While I didn't have the big buck sightings, the deer were moving this morning. I had action all the way to 10 when I had one bed at 40yds and lock me in place. Felt good to be in the woods today. Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks, Phil. Aren't you glad you didn't have to look at a monster at 20 yards? :) Sorry, that was wrong... Good luck on your next outting, Phil.

Man Brock, I have enjoyed reading your journal this year. Sounds like yesterday was awesome. I can't wait to get out there and hunt the next seven days! You've got me all pumped up! Good luck if you get out there today!

It's all good. I made this bed. I am willing to sleep in it. Hope your morning has been more eventful than mine. Even the squirrels are inactive.

My hotspot went cold this morning! I saw a doe and a fawn at 740, that was it. I only saw two squirrels as well. Just a flat morning, but dang it was pretty! KR is going to get the shop open for me this afternoon so I can hunt again. I think she's only being nice because we are getting close to Christmas. :) I bet things will be moving this afternoon, but I can't imagine I will be lucky enough to have another encounter with one of the good ones. Lord, it's been a good few days!

Keep them eyes peeled at all times. It's at this time of Nov. a slob can stroll thru anytime. My BIL had a 120" 9 point come in out of nowhere at 1:09 yesterday.

I got down at 10 today to get to the shop to help out. Things get pretty crazy around here some days. As I was climbing down, I remebered a couple years ago on Nov 16 a giant showing up at 1030 on a day just like today...sorta slow. I hated to leave, but the way my mind works these days I got over it. I have until February to bowhunt whitetails, and if I kill one now what am I gonna do? :) Keeps things in perspective for me. I rarely hunt evenings becuase I need to be at the shop to open up, but dang with these big rascals running around on the farm right now, I'm calling in favors. Plenty of time to kill one, but there is no better time to actually get to see what's around! Great time of year!

What a difference a day makes! The landowner picked today to plow the cornfield I've been hanging over. It's all good though, cause he is gonna leave me a strip about 10 rows wide which should funnel the deer even better. After speaking with him, I decided I'd go get in a stand at a creek crossing at the back of the farm. I climbed up, started fooling around seeing how I'd have to hang off the stand using my safety belt like a linemans harness to shoot across the creek, and a young buck came out of the brush, crossed the creek and walked right under me! I thought it was gonna be a great evening, but then I got a text from an employee that she wouldn't be in...ten minutes before her shift! I already had KR working so I got down to head to the shop. I found a possum on the way out that looked like a broadhead had been shot through it, but it wasn't me because I don't have a fur takers permit. :) Someone must have been in a really poor mood to shoot a pretty possum...

I saw several deer out and about on my way home, but just one on my 20 minute sit. Maybe Mason will lay one out on Saturday. I'm done till then.
