So it looks like I'll be at Burr Oak lodge this weekend. Anybody know of cool things to see and do in the area or a good place to grab some grub?

That’s where my wife and I got married. The restaurant in the lodge is good, a little pricy though. Sikorskys in glouster is suppose to be pretty good but I’ve never personally had it. Not much in the way of dining out that way. Check out Darbyland lumber when you roll through, they have some pretty good prices on ammo from time to time.

Trotters in New Lexington has an awesome Rueben and French onion soup, plus they have beerz. Shouldn’t be too far from there.
My dad and relatives will be in one of the cabins there all week starting tomorrow. The lodge is pretty awesome. There’s a pizza place in the middle of Glouster that is pretty darn good. Their baked potato pizza is money. Just watch your back… Glouster can be a little sketchy at times. Lol
After looking into it a little more I guess it's only an outdoor tour. I wanted to go look inside lol.

Live just outside town. Sikorski’s is decent bar/ restaurant food- had wings there tonight- they have Sunday breakfast buffet. Last time I had food at the Lodge was horrible. All the pizza is decent- I second the potato pizza. Eclipse Co store would be my #1 in the area- great food 30+ beers on tap, located in The Plains. Star Brick BBQ is good and it’s inside the Rocky Boot Outlet.

I'm sure we past your dad today. Wife wanted to check out the cabins so we looked at them all. Bunch of Vermont guys here hunting staying in the cabins closest to the lodge. Seen a few other out of state plates today along backroads that I would guess are hunting.Never know what you might see go down in Glouster.
Vermont is always hugely represented at Burr Oak. As is New York, Maine, Florida, and the Carolina’s. It’s truly amazing how far people come year after year to hunt Ohio deer.
My wife's aunt lived in Glouster til she passed, maybe 15-20 years ago. Loved that little town and earlier this year we decided to go up through it on the way home as a detour. Holy smokes has it gotten run down. Her house is still there and looks OK, some good family memories there for my In-laws.
