TOO member kills a deer. Said member texts another member. Second member posts a thread entitled something along the lines of "I know something..." or "I'm in the know!" And then members who aren't in the loop bitch about such shenanigans until the successful member shows up and triumphantly shows us all his/her prize.

A true as the rut, the "I know something" threads are a thing of annual anticipation around here!

And we especially bitch when it takes hours and hours (sometimes a day!) before we are informed of who had the kill. :tantrum:

Not my deer...

Taken by good friend of mine. I did have the privilege of helping drag him up a 40 degree incline to the truck. Litterally took half the night to get this deer out of the woods...a big ombré.

Congrats to your buddy Mike! Nice buck for sure! Helping drag out a shooter is always a rewarding experience no matter whose deer it is, for me anyway. :pickle:

I say mid 140's net. That's just a guess. I definite shooter, in my book.

I saw a few different angles of this buck my friend who knows Alex sent me. I think hes closer to high 150s or 160. I could be wrong tho!

No Albert I think your spot on! I figure he's around 161" gross but like Ron said he'll prolly net high 140's with all the deducts,IMO. Heck of a nice deer! Shooter Fo Sho!

Hey, I'm with ya man! That's a 160 class buck but the record books penalize deer that aren't "perfect" in symmetry and basically whittle the deer down to a perfect rack using the deers smallest side. So basically in this case you would tape this deers left side and double it then add inside spread and then deduct the stickers to get the net score which the record books will enter.

Congrats Mike!

You had made mention of not really having a target in another thread if I recall. Did you have history with this one? Your ability to locate, pattern and ultimately harvest mature bucks consistently is impressive.

Agreed. Pretty good shot placement too!
