Catfish Recipes

Ok. Usually we fish the river which I wouldn't eat any fish out of. This weekend I think we are making a roadtrip to Senecaville Lake and plan on keeping a few to eat. If we catch any. LOL. Anyone got any good recipes to fix them?

Many ways to cook them. Depends on your tastebuds. Fried, blackened, baked or court boullion. Internet can get you close to something edible.

If the catfish are big, can cut the bloodline out if they strong. Thin pieces are generally better to the pallet. If it’s thick filet it in half.

Don’t need any recipes as we didn’t catch crap. Nice morning on the lake though.

Flounder and striped bass I always broil. Catfish, white perch and walleye get battered and deep fried. I use Prego Italian breadcrumbs mixed with a little flour, dip fillets in egg then roll in the crumb mixture. Deep fry for 3-4 minutes. Great with steak fries or mashed potatoes and peas.

If you like it try adding a decent amount of parmesan cheese to your mix and then deep fry.
