The only positive is the attention the Huntr podcast has received. Never heard of them. Likely would have never heard of them. Still think they are out of touch with reality, but it probably helped them to grow their audience. Not everyone will share the same opinion I do.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Does the podcast pay him for a story? Do they now sue him to be reimbursed for his fake story (assuming it is proven to be fake)? Does he win the suit because he actually DID bring them more business? Likely MORE business than if the story was legit?

Will the WVa DNR see a big lawsuit? Defamation of character? Liable? Slander? At a minimum I would think he will be reimbursed for a cape, attorney fees, lost time at work, travel costs and associated costs. . . .I'm sensitive. I'd have a lot of pain and suffering worrying what people thought of me now. Lol

Big money in big deer. Legit or not.

That dude absolutely dimed out the location. Dang. I thought I felt bad before for the guys legally hunting this deer. Not only did they get screwed out of a buck of a lifetime, now they will get bought out! Talk about a double fuck. Let this be a lesson to any hunter out there that might ever kill a giant.

1. Include the local GW.
2. STFU
3. Never tell anyone where it was killed. Lie about it. Lie about it every time. Or, refer to number 2.

I hope this guys story is correct because if it's not I hope they rag the ever living shit out of him for bringing God into it...so for that reason alone I hope this story is real . Seems like this person spent alot of time on this video just for the views including his words. Even if it turns out he poached it was it necessary to throw religion into it like this? Just saying. For what it's worth I'm not a religious person but seems a bit much . Either way just sucks that this is our state under national spot light yet once again for a dang animal. Blah rant over not even sure where I'm going with this just tired of seeing all the drama all the time within our loved sport.

I sure wish I could share some of the longstanding and well known rumors about the buyer of the rack. If they are true, it could make for an interesting news story in these parts...
Hmm you got my mind interested. There's so much variables involved in this one that no matter what the final outcome is some of it will definitely surprise people it seems and also shine light onto others involved whether good or bad.

Interesting article of what can happen with allegations of wrong doing And its ramifications …..

But if he was innocent and cooperated with their investigation everything would've been fine right?

You know those guys who control most of the land around there will never be bought out. I do feel bad for the guys with smaller tracts. The deer got big in that area for a reason, so much land controlled by the same family and very little pressure. Gos back to the deer distribution problem.

I'm wondering where all this info is that he confessed and everything else when this article says he was Investigated for hunting without written permission.

If you enter a property that you're not supposed to be on to kill a deer, the DOW officer on their own can charge you with hunting without written permission. Technically they can charge you with hunting without written permission even if you have permission but its not written. They rarely do that as it doesn't look good in court when the defense calls the landowner to the stand and he says you had verbal permission. 🤣 For you to be charged with tresspassing the landowner has to tell the officer they want to pursue trespassing charges. In this case the landowner may or may not want to pursue trespassing charges. One reason is they may not want people knowing where the property is.

I know this, but that article from today says nothing about a poached deer or him confessing to anything. Just says he is being investigated for not having written permission.

I would assume they released as little as possible since they are investigating but idk
Seems like every other person on the internet has heard what's going on but a reporter for a paper doesn't. I would think they would make an attempt to figure out the story but maybe not seeing how journalists suck nowadays.
