All this because he didn’t have written permission on his sister’s property? Is he in the court jurisdiction that the DA who was complaining about this? If so wouldn’t a conflict of interest come into play?
Looking forward to see how this plays out.
This has nothing to do with written permission, if the sister gave him verbal the state would move on, there is def something else driving this.

Yeah I’m mad because I had pics of the deer and CJ killed it! My brother is the DA. Has everything to do with the size of the antlers. Imagine how the value of my land goes up w world record genetics. The smell test tells the story.

I said this about four pages back, but the guy who killed the deer ,his life is/was a hot mess. Listen to the original podcast where they interviewed him, its insane. The whole thing is just so weird

As everyone's been saying innocent until guilty... welp he's a .. um... yeah . Was hoping for the best but unfortunately this is the new norm. Crazy what antlers will do to people. I enjoy taking nice bucks like anyone else but this is on another level and way to common anymore. Hopefully next year will bring another trophy buck story but with everything done right , would've been cool as all be to seen a deer like this taken legally by a youth

The dude had no money or job so he’s probably going to be appointed a public defender, I’m sure that person will get him off all charges :ROFLMAO:

I'm glad they got this Corey character. I here he's the master mind in all of this. He sent a guy I know a trail camera pic of this buck on October 15th. These guys were running trail cams on private property they were trespassing on. So they had pics of this buck on their phones and were showing it off but he said he knew nothing about the deer.

Moral of the story is that in general people honestly just suck.. that's in all aspects of life and hobbies. I'd say pretty much every single one on here is 100 legit whether I know you personally or not and we all think on pretty much the same level , great group of moral sound guys . The sad part is everything we think is crazy and out of line is sadly very common. We're a smaller group then you think let that sink In , times have changed. Anyhow fuck that guy BTW 😬

I concur with much of this. Not all. I do believe there are more good than bad out there. We just don't hear as many of the feel good stories. If check points were still around you could hear the local feel good stories just hanging out for a day. Not everyone is on social media and even the ones who are don't post everything. I'm certain there are plenty of stories about Grandpa or an uncle who finally got "the big one" after years of hunting. Or maybe hear about a youngster connecting on an 80" deer that may as well have been a 200" deer in their eyes. Unfortunately, these poaching stories leave a bad taste and steal the spotlight. (No pun intended.)

TOO is a rarity though. I fully agree on this one.

I have to imagine there are some "smart poachers" too...who shoot their big buck then just shut the fuck up. But what fun would that be if they couldn't brag? I think most poachers have a narcissistic personality disorder to go along with their eggs for brains. I'm finding it really hard to give the benefit of the doubt to these type of people anymore.

Might get better money leasing your land for hunting rights. Loan officer won't likely approve a loan on property we with am inflated ask price because it has big deer on it
