Cloverdale Compton sweet 2025

Very very cool! The bow the boy is shooting next to Sydney brings back memories. Very first bow I shot when I was a kid was a Bear cub or Bear little bear. Dad wouldn’t buy me one. I did get a used Grizzly in high school though so he redeemed himself lol. That pic of her with Barry is awesome!

Five arrows for a dollar. It's fun and addicting 😁

I can’t help but wonder if it will be well attended because it’s only 45 minutes or so from Cloverdale???? Seems like a bad idea to me simply do to difficulty drawing a crowd to the same region. We will wait and see and hope we can make it next year!

It's a totally different crowd believe it or not. I see very few people at Compton that go to Cloverdale also. I'm one of the few that does both. It was packed full this year! They had to open up a new area for campers it was that full. The Compton event is a true rendezvous. It's about family and making friends talking bowhunting. There are no score cards there. You can empty your quiver at each target and no one cares! You can practice all you want as many times as you like. The new event is going to have four twenty target courses. Each with a different set of challenges

You have to realize Compton Traditional bowhunters is a national organization with over 2500 members. People come to this event from across the country. There are people there from Alaska to Europe. Its really cool the bowhunters you get to meet there. Cloverdale is just a traditional archery shoot. This is a happening for the only national traditional bowhunter organization in the world.

It sounds like a great time! Maybe the location switch will not change anything but the immediate scenery.

The new club grounds Koteewi archery range will be holding the world traditional championship on July 5th and 6th. You should check it out with your skill set!
I haven’t found that yet via a quick search. We are going to the IBO trad worlds in July but it’s in Nelsonville this year, prior to the regular IBO national. I think we are going to camp that weekend so it should be a good time as Cloverdale was. I don’t think we are going to ETAR ‘cause I just don’t like to drive that far these days. I have become a homebody. 😀

I haven't been to etar and I know I would love it but I don't want to drive that far either. If you or Mason are on Facebook try them there. The guy from there said they were on Facebook and they didn't have a good web site going yet

Yeah. We will have a good time too. Score doesn’t make a bit of difference, as long as you execute your shots. Bad shots can score well and good shots can score bad. The guy losing the arrow can tell the difference. 😀. As long as we loose them well and get to tell lies and hear good lies, it’s all fun.
