Enjoy your cold temps and ice fishing. As I'm praying for a spring warm up soon. These cold temps are painful on my muscles.

Some guy is sending me pics of cold beer and a hole in the ice while I sit by the pool. And I feel like the dumbass...wtf is wrong with people like us? Lol

“C’mon ice” a phrase never said in the history of North Carolina

No offense Clay, but y’all need to just stay home down there when it either rains or freezes lol
I was stationed for 3 winters in Arkansas, it was truly an eye opening experience lol
Atlanta in the rain was much of the same lol...

Brother I totally agree, I know how to drive in the winter because my parents are from Ohio and taught me how. It is funny to watch the jacked up trucks try to stop on ice.

It was nice to meet you Nate. Thanks again! I was only a little later getting back. Hard to walk away from all that, I miss ice time!

It was nice to finally put a face with the name. Glad you could make it out, your welcome anytime your back up this way. I will be in touch for Erie ice.

I picked up a hand auger, ice rod, and a few jigs the other day. I hit a local pond for about an hour to try the stuff out and caught a couple gills and crappie. I might go to a small lake Sunday afternoon to give it a go. This will be my first year on the ice and depending on how it goes I'll be looking for a shanty and flasher next year

It's my son's b-day tomorrow, he's turning 6. I told him we could do anything he wanted and with a big ol grin he asks "can we go ice fishin dad.....please?". Proud dad moment for sure.

I'm out here right now, about 1.7 miles from Catawba. 26 feet of water. No bites and only a few marks. Dang wind is ridiculous. Probably should move but I'm way too invested with this hub shanty now. Gonna grind it out to the end and see what happens. Lots of people out here. Catawba was packed even at 1:45 when we got there this afternoon. Sitting on 9" of ice right now. Most of it looked even thicker on the ride out.
