Actually the opposite Hicks, stick your head out the window of the Big 10, pretty much nobody except OSU and Big 10 fans think they should have been allowed. The CFP caught an enormous amount of shit across the nation on Twitter after the pick. #CorruptFootballPlayoff was trending.

Never asked anyone to buy it. But you also can't refute it. Plenty of teams went way better than 6-0. Or what really should have been counted as 6-6. The Big 10 made a decision to sit out half a season, the CFP should have honored that decision and left them out. It's a massive slap in the face and disservice to every team in the nation who left it all on the field this year.

Looks like the CPF was right!
Again. The end doesn't justify the means. Never should have been is never should have been regardless of outcome. If that's the case let's just give OSU, Bama, Clemson, and one other a permanent slot every year, allow them to practice all year and never play a game until the playoffs. We'll just assume all of those unplayed games were perfect wins. Seasons exist for a reason.

We will need our defense to put on pressure and step up like this against Bama. Unrelenting pressure as this game winds down. Extremely impressed. It's the best #11 team I've seen play.

That's not refuting anything bud. That doesn't change the fact that there are 5-6 games that OSU didn't play that they could have just as easily lost or struggled in that would have kept them out. We shouldn't just assume that those were all wins and count them as such then use their later performance as justification.
I seem to remember shocking losses to shit team's like Michigan state, Purdue, Iowa, Pen St that kept OSU out of the playoffs, or at least removed the outcome from their hands and required someone else to mess up. Put those buckeyes in the playoffs that year and they very well may have won. But they weren't there, because they didn't earn the right to be. In 2015 that was a loss to Michigan State that kept them out of the playoffs. In 2017 a loss to Iowa kept them out of the playoffs. 2018 loss to purdue kept them out of the playoffs. Games matter. Seasons matter. Earning the right to compete matters. Refusing to play and staying home should matter.
