Perhaps. Or perhaps he thought the guy was a talking head who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, but saban couldn't outright call the guy a dumbass on TV. I remember when those talking heads said the same about clemson and a new dynasty. If I had a nickel for all the talking heads who said TCU had a shot. To me it looked more like he wanted to say something he knew he shouldn't. One its unprofessional, and two just not the right time.One things is for sure. You don't say something like that in a national spotlight to undoubtedly the greatest coach of our time, and not have him use it as a driving factor to fuck shit up in 2023.

Say what you will about prime time, but his son is having a great game. This has been a fun game to watch.
Not a fan of his show boating coaching, but I will give credit when due and he had them kids ready to play. His son was lights out and playing ball. Very impressed with that kid
