I’d pack a bag for cold and warm weather if they’re driving out.... Don’t have to carry the excess while out if you know what weather you’re going to encounter....

My wife and I fly out Sunday morning for a 5 day vacation before I meet the boys. I have my gear packed and ready. My pack is at 40# minus my bow. Luckily the boys are packing in most of the camping gear. I will probably post some updates while on vacation with wife but once I meet the boys the only thing I will have for communication is a new Garmin Inreach Explorer.

Don’t be jealous yet! I may not survive. It is questionable at this point. I already pulled stuff from my pack to make it less bulky.

I have heard bugles before...back in the Mid 80s. Back then there was no "cow" calling. But I really hope we can get on something and hear some bugling.

Incredible first evening at Rocky Mountain National Park. Drove around and saw a 4x4 bull walking along the road. Got a great video of him. Drove to top of mountain, what stunning views. Came back down and saw a real good mule deer buck....more video. I was told to go to Moraine Park inside RMNP. Wow! A 7x6 had 40+ cows out in a meadow. He put on a show bugling and herding them. More awesome video! But videos will have to wait until I get home. Here are a few pics.
