Went out coyote hunting with a buddy tonight. I took my muzzleloader and he had a .243. First set he missed one at 175 yards. Second set I missed one at 100. And on the 3rd set we almost had a red fox but just couldn't get a shot off. Got skunked on the last 2 sets. We are both new at this, give it time. Between hunting them and the snares I got out I'm bound to get a few. Hopefully it snows again soon![]()
What calls were you using?
That's what I thought about the fur take permit for anything other than coyotes right?
Yes they will especially in this type of weather.I pitched one in a weed patch that was all rubbed out last week and they ate it up in the last week. They will pretty much eat anything.Have seen them eat apples and corn off of bait sites also. Will coyotes eat another coyote? Say if I throw the carcass out will other yotes eat it?
